Infrared / Tube heaters
These heaters work similar to how the sun heats objects through electromagnetic waves. Often these units are used when a low intensity heater is needed to cover larger areas, sometimes in harsh or humid environments.
Infrared tube heaters are mounted overhead and the radiant heat is directed downwards to below via reflector. Units come in single and two stage configurations.
Many models offer tool free access to the unit's controls, allow for servicing while the unit runs, and work well for several applications. Lastly, our infrared tube heater options sport even heat distribution with an end to end variance of less than 15%.
Some key facts about radiant heating:
Is emitted by hot surface and travels in straight lines. It passes through air without heating it and is absorbed by cooler solid objects it touches. It's effective for extremely high ceiling applications. As long as proper consideration is given by the technician in question, most units can be worked on while still in operation, meaning less downtown for maintenance.
